On this page you will find some of the more than 370 European companies in different sectors that work with the ECC.
In Europe, more than 370 companies have adopted an ECC policy. Don’t forget that as a consumer, the best way to help the chickens is to remove them from your plate altogether.
The European Chicken Commitment (ECC) is a series of welfare criteria to be implemented in companies' sustainability work. It means bringing an end to the use of fast growing broilers, more space and greater access to free range for the chickens, among other things. The criteria have been developed by Project 1882 and 27 other leading animal rights -and welfare organizations. They are based on the latest available animal welfare research and all of the criteria will be met by 2026. Read more about the ECC here.
